IRMO – Funeral services for Virginia Ruth Anderson Backlund, 86, of Irmo, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo Chapel. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Hospice House, 141 Stoneridge Dr, Columbia, SC 29210.
Virginia was born in Duluth, MN, July 26, 1927 and passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Vernon ; sons, Dale, Gary and Mark; grandson, Eric and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her parents Axel and Edith; brother, Leonard; sisters, Katherine Buan, Harriet Johnson and Ruby.
