Wanda Bennett

A memorial service for Wanda June Bennett, 61, of Columbia will be held at 3 o’clock Sunday, July 31 at Rehoboth United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Doug Benton officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 o’clock at the church. Shives Funeral Home is assisting the family. Miss Bennett died Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Born in Charleston on April 26, 1950, she was a daughter of Reesie Mae Raines. A member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church she was also a member of the Seeker Sunday School Class, the Sutton/Brown Prayer Group as well as the Midlands Area Celiac Support Group.

Survivors include her parents, Reesie Mae and Furman Raines of Columbia; daughter, Melissa (James) Booth of Richmond Hill, GA; son, Jeffrey (Andrea) Harrell of Sarasota, FL, grandchildren, Alexis, Dillin, Dakoda and Evan; sister, Shirley Bennett of Columbia; brother, Donald Bennett of Columbia; Sister Janice (Tommy) Padgett of Surfside Beach; several nieces and nephews; a special cousin, Linda Gleason of Camden and her beloved Shitzu, Chewie.
