Mr. Pittman was born in Columbus, GA. on October 7, 1942 to the late Alfred Pittman and Susie Edwards Pittman. He was a graduate of Central High School.
He received a BA degree in radio and television to begin his career as a former reporter for WRBL news Channel 3. He also had a long career in radio working for several radio stations, notably WCLS and WYHD. He was an avid reader and loved Dean Koonts books. He probably read every book written by him. He loved reading the Bible (of which he had many and would give them away to anyone in need), therefore, he was always buying new ones. He enjoyed listening to the Bible on the radio as well. He served in the ministry of Christ in any way he could.
Frank lived his life humbly and as a servant of Christ and of his fellow human beings. He was quick to offer anything he had if he knew of anyone that was in need. He loved cats!!! He loved to rock in his rocking chair and he did this for all of his girls. He loved to wake up every morning, drink his coffee on the back porch, listen to J. Vernon McGhee and watch the sun rise. He loved hot wings! They were his most favorite food. Dad also really loved to fish and did this as often as he could.
He taught his girls how to be strong and never give up. He shared wisdom with his daughter Amy that has led her to become a woman who overcomes and perseveres. He was a man who went through many trials himself and through Christ persevered and passed those life lessons on to his children. His grandchildren were a big part of his life; they made him laugh and smile. He wants to be remembered most for his faith in our Lord.
