Sis was born on October 30, 1940 in Holland. Courtesy of the United States Army, she and her husband Joe Dionne, lived in New Hampshire, Germany, and Belgium before eventually settling in Georgia. They spent their retirement years in Ellerslie, Georgia staying close to children and grandchildren.
Following Joe’s military retirement, Sis worked alongside him at French and Whitten Realty and later served as an appraiser at Harrington and Associates. She truly loved her work and was often heard saying that everyone should do what they love so that it never feels like a job.
An avid reader and card player, Sis especially loved playing poker and watching the Game Show Network. Above all else, she was deeply passionate about her family. She loved nothing more than when friends and family visited, and her definition of a wonderful day was simply sharing a good cup of coffee or pot of hot tea with the people she loved.
Sis was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dionne; her brother, Henk Dionne; her daughter Rosella Daugherty; her daughter in law, Mary Dionne; and her granddaughter, Abbie Dionne.
Survivors include; her two sons, Henk (Deborah) Dionne, Roy Dionne; six grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
Her enduring legacy is the way she lived her life; through hard work, true commitment, a deep-rooted love for family and a beautiful appreciation for simplicity.
