Min was born on December 13, 1940, in Korea. She was a devoted wife, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was her family.
Min was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John W. Lynn, Jr., and by her dear friend Shimeko Lynn, who remained one of the most important people in her life and whose friendship she cherished deeply.
Min's grandchildren were especially precious to her. She is survived by her stepsons, David Lynn, Sr., and Leroy Lynn (Nancy); her beloved grandchildren, Ryan Lynn (Fallon), Stacey Ballard, and David Lynn, Jr. (Leeia); her great-grandchildren, Pacen, Calvin, Colton, and Maddison; and her devoted family friend, Gary Herman. She leaves behind a family who knew without question how deeply she loved them and how fiercely loyal she was to them.
For nearly 30 years, Min was a familiar and beloved presence in the Cusseta community as the operator of the Why Not Restaurant. She served generations of locals, sportsmen, and military personnel, becoming known not only for the food that came out of her kitchen but for the warmth, personality, and unmistakable character that came with it. The restaurant was a place where people came to eat, but many left having made a connection with Min.
At home, Min found some of her greatest happiness in the simple things. She loved her dogs throughout the years and took great pride in tending her rose garden. She cherished preparing Sunday dinners for her family, bringing everyone together around her table and creating traditions that will live on in the generations who shared them.
Min was a woman who did not mince her words. She told you what she thought and told it like she saw it. She could be strong-willed, outspoken, funny, fiercely protective, and unwaveringly loyal.
Her family will remember her not only for everything she did for them, but for the unmistakable presence she brought into every room, every family gathering, and every Sunday dinner.
Min lived a long life, built a family she loved deeply, and left an indelible mark on the people and community around her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those fortunate enough to have called her Min.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Columbus, Georgia in the St. Elmo Room, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus Ga 31907.
