Alex was a beloved husband, stepfather, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was also a passionate leader, colleague, team member and role model. He loved his family, sports, his dogs and his Dawgs.
Alex was a microbiology graduate of the University of Georgia, an Omega and a hardcore DAWG. Alex talked about retiring soon and he and his wife Melody discussed ways they could “give back” to future generations by establishing a scholarship fund for students in the college of science at UGA
To make his wish a reality, the “Alexander (AJ) Jackson Memorial Fund” was created. The family requests in lieu of flowers, etc., please consider contributing to his memorial fund to support his goal of providing opportunities for students to attend UGA who might not otherwise have the means.
Thank you for your kind expressions of sympathy. The love you have shown has given us great comfort during this difficult time. It is deeply appreciated and will forever be remembered by the family of Alex Jackson.
