Allison spent her younger years in the paradise of Oahu, Hawai’i and moved to Columbus, Georgia with her parents at age 5. She attended Shaw High School in Columbus, Georgia. In 2008, her daughter Amaya (Japanese for Night Rain) was born. Allison was so proud of the smart young woman Amaya has become.
Allison cherished her family and friends and was always ready to have fun. She has such a strong loyal personality. Allison loved visiting her native Hawai’i and the beaches, spending time with her family, horses, her 3 dogs, karaoke, playing guitar, singing and dancing hula. She warmed the hearts of many with her infectious laugh, sarcastic sense of humor and kind soul.
She was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Helen Reasons; great grandparents, Kenneth and Mary Ige; paternal grandmother, Joy Aiko Clancey; her uncle, Steven Scott Cockrell; and her best friend Renee Eldridge.
She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Amaya Faith Hicks; brother, Kyle Hicks; parents, Mark and Tina Hicks; Aunt and Uncle, Melinda and Tim Cockrell; cousins, Kaylyn and Peyton Cockrell; maternal grandparents, Paul and Karen Cockrell; her two dogs, Hagen and Addie along with many other extended relatives and friends to cherish her loving memory.
