Alma Louise Suggs

COLUMBUS, GEORGIA- Alma Louise Suggs, 88, passed away on November 16, 2012. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 3:00 PM in Parkhill Cemetery, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus, GA. The family will greet friends at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 - 3:00 PM.

Mrs. Suggs was born July 25, 1924 to the late Jack Wilson and Nellie Mae Rhoades in Ringgold, GA. She was a very loving and selfless person, helping anyone who needed help. Mrs. Suggs enjoyed spending time with her family, and loved them all dearly. Her family was the main focus in her life, of which they considered her to be the foundation.

Mrs. Suggs was preceded in death by her husband, SFC (Ret.) Erwin M. Suggs, a son, Thomas Erwin Suggs and a brother, Oscar B. Wilson.

Survivors include three children, Sharon Suggs Fierro of Columbus; James Allen Suggs and his companion Linnie P. Neel of Columbus and Belinda Louise Bryan and her husband, Ronald of Columbus; a daughter-in-law, Connie Suggs of Plantation, FL; fifteen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
