Ann Pekor Bruni

A funeral mass will be held Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father J. Gerard Schreck officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, October 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with the Rosary being said from 7:00 to 7:30 PM.

A lifelong resident of Columbus, Mrs. Bruni was born May 7, 1922, the daughter of the late Richard Briggs Pekor and Louise Williford Pekor. She was a founding member of St. Anne Church where she was a member of the Council of Catholic Women, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, the Altar Society and St. Anne Outreach. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary and the Woman's Club of Columbus.

In addition to her husband of 56 years and her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Aristia Bruni III, her infant son, Philip Joseph Bruni, her grandson, Michael Paul Berezny and her sister Edith Pekor Brown.

She is survived by her children, Christopher Stephan Bruni and wife Patricia Bish Bruni of Macon, GA, Alan Pekor Bruni and wife Anne Harrington Bruni of Blue Mountain Beach, FL and Barbara Bruni Fackler and husband Ralph J. Fackler of Atlanta; her grandchildren, Philip Joseph Fackler and wife Janna Casseaux Fackler of Tampa, FL, Tiffany Fackler-Watson and husband Christopher J. Watson of Atlanta, Briggs Brower Bruni of Tampa, Terryl Anne Bruni of Blue Mountain Beach and Brandon W. Bish of Macon; her great-grandchildren Michael Gregory Fackler, Riley Olivia Watson, Mia Grace Fackler and Samuel O'Shea Watson.
