

Ann was born in Columbus, GA on March 15, 1937 to the late G. Park Brinson and Elizabeth White Brinson. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1954 (where she and Fred met in Study Hall). Ann attended Shorter College in Rome, GA and graduated from Emory University in 1958. She later earned her Master's Degree in Education. She was awarded Teacher of the Year in 1998 while at JR Allen Elementary School (Columbus) and retired in 1998 after spending over 30 years in elementary school classrooms. Ann loved the beach, her beautiful yard, spending time with her family, and especially her husband Fred. She will be remembered and celebrated daily by her loved ones.
Ann is survived by her loving husband of 61 years: Fred Ward; children: Rusty Ward (Pat), Robert Ward (Ying), and Beth Kidd; grandchildren: Jack Ward, Ramon Xie, and Lily Kidd; sister: Jean Carter (Terry); and nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, Ann was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Bush.
No funeral services will be held but the family invites you to celebrate her life by encouraging others to learn something new every day.
