

Anne was born on April 18, 1949, in Columbus, to Joseph Albert Wade, Sr. and Anne Wright Wade. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1967 and attended the University of Georgia. She was a member of the Junior League of Columbus and worked as a secretary for a local attorney. Anne will be remembered for her deep love of family as well as the quiet strength and kindness she carried throughout her life. She especially cherished time spent at the beach with her family; her sons and grandchildren were the true highlight of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 39 years, Jack Bernard Eatman, Jr.; her son, Thomas Wade Mobley; her brother, J. Albert Wade, Jr. (Al); and her stepson, Daniel Louis Eatman.
She is survived by her son, Richard Berryman Mobley, Jr. (Amy); her siblings, Walter Wright Wade (Carol) and Elizabeth Wade David (Bob), all of Columbus, Georgia; and her stepson, Mark Curtis Eatman of Bozeman. She also leaves behind eight beloved grandchildren: Caroline Holloway (Drake), William Mobley, Walker Mobley, Trey Mobley, Gardner Mobley, Morgan Eatman, Blake Eatman, and Geiger Sturkie. She will also be remembered fondly by her nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.
The family extends a special and heartfelt thanks to Gayle Jackson for her devoted care and compassion.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A funeral service will be held on May 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, with Reverend John Fugh, Jr. of St. Paul Church officiating. A private burial will follow at Riverdale Cemetery.
