A graveside service for Anne will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at 10:30 AM in Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907.
Anne was born June 30, 1950 in Auburn, AL to the late Mary Ross Klontz and Harold Emerson Klontz.
She was employed by the state of Georgia as a Rehabilitation Specialist where she dedicated a good portion of her life to helping those who could not help themselves. Anne was passionate about helping families care for their handicapped loved ones and enjoyed helping people as a Massage Therapist. Anne had a love for her animals and you could usually find one curled up in her lap. She loved to hang out at home where you could often find her reading a good book.
In her later years she lived with her daughter and grandchildren and loved being able to watch them grow and get a close up view of their daily lives.
Beside her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her husband, John Whitehead, and a daughter, Cheryl Anne Platford.
Anne is survived by her daughter Amy Solt (Derick), 3 grandchildren: Jacob, Elijah, and Hailey Solt.
