

Annie Ruth Caudle July 11, 1920- June 10, 2015 Columbus, Georgia- Annie Ruth Caudle, 94, of Columbus, Georgia died Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Columbus Hospice House. Memorial services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the Chapel of Covenant Woods Retirement Community with Rev. Billy Duncan officiating. A private interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. Mrs. Caudle was born in Phenix City, AL on July 11, 1920, the daughter of Fred and Wesley Baker Hunter. In her early years the family relocated to Harris County, GA residing in Mulberry Grove on what is now known as Hunter Road. She was married in 1937 to W. Marvin Caudle of Cataula, Georgia. After raising their family in Columbus, Mr. and Mrs. Caudle retired to Marvin, Alabama and were longtime members of Shiloh Baptist Church. Upon returning to Columbus their church home was Beallwood Baptist Church. Mrs. Caudle was preceded in death by her beloved husband; infant daughters, Helen Faye and Marilyn Ruth; sisters, Esther Taylor Powers and Louise Taylor; brother, Woodson Hunter; and granddaughters, Clair McReynolds Redden, and Mary Anne McReynolds Jackson; and great-grandson, John Stanley McReynolds. Survivors include her son, Harold Caudle and wife, Ruth of Charleston, SC; a daughter, Rebecca McReynolds of Columbus; grandchildren; Kevin McReynolds (Nancy) of Houston, TX, Kenneth Caudle of Atlantic Beach, FL, Yvonne Riley (Michael) of Charleston, SC, and Pamela Kelley (Lynn) of Richmond Hill, GA; eight great-grandchildren, Several great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Frances Anderson of Colorado Springs, CO.; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Caudle was an active resident of Covenant Woods Retirement Community since 2001, enjoying the company of many friends and activities there. Her legacy as a devoted wife, loving mother, and a compassionate friend will live on. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Beallwood Baptist Church Building Fund, 4650 Veterans Parkway, Columbus, Georgia 31904.
