Annie Lou Cato

Annie Lou Cato, 95, of Columbus, GA passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 20th. Born to Dixie and Fleming Hall in Dothan, AL. Annie moved to Columbus with her family and worked several years in the Swift Mills before marrying William J. Dean after the war. Annie continued to work in the mills of Columbus on and off for many years. She is survived by her sons and their spouses: Danny Dean (Wanda) and David Dean (Robin), and step sons David Cato, Mike Dehner (Trish), Jimmy Cato, and Billy Cato Jr. Loving grandmother of Shana Young, Tanya Dean, Bridgid Dean, Shelley Brown, Julian Dean, and Amanda and her husband David Walters, Jeremy Dehner, Amber Renew, Candice Underwood, Matthew Cato, Hannah, and Josh Cato. Great grandmother of Parker, Camryn, Finn, Declan, Michael, Celia, Coby, Jaiden, Gavin, William, Gabriel, Paisley, Kennady, Kristopher, Conner, Colton, JJ, Joy, Courtney, Owen, Olivia, Ruby, Kaydence, and Maverick. Annie Lou was predeceased by her first husband William J. Dean, her husband Billy Cato, her son Darrell Dean, and her siblings, Howard Hall, Charles Hall, Sarah Whitman, and Jimmy Hall. Annie Lou leaves behind many people who loved her including her favorite niece Donna Horner and nephew Nicky Whitman, all of the kind caregivers, and many members of her church.

Interment at Parkhill Cemetery Thursday, March 24 at 1 pm. We will receive friends from 12 to 1 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.
