Arie Lee "Cissy" King

Arie Lee "Cissy" King, age 73, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022. Arie was born July 19, 1949 to Rosa Lee Atkins "Rosie" Boutwell and Melton Aaron Boutwell. She was a loving mama, nanny, sister, aunt, and friend who’s sweet and loving spirit will be greatly missed. Cissy was Christian by faith and she lived her life by example of her faith. She was a member of Kirkland Baptist Church for over 40 years. Cissy sang in the church choir and enjoyed going on trips with the church. She was a very compassionate lady who loved to share with others, she would give the shirt off her back if she thought it would help. Cissy loved to travel especially to the beach and spending time with her loving family. Cissy is survived by her sons: Chris King and Tim King; her sister Barbara Yancey; her grandchildren: Tim King, Angelea King, Christopher King, Alayna Moore and Megan Tyra and a host of other family and great friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Rosa Lee Atkins "Rosie" Boutwell and Melton Aaron Boutwell; and her twin brother Sonny Boutwell. A celebration of Arie L. "Cissy" King's life will be held Friday, August 12, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Mill Room at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907.
