Arnold Ray Brown, 87, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026. The family will be accepting visitors on Friday, September 10, 2026. The family will be accepting visitors on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Striffler Hamby Mortuary followed by a graveside at 3:00 PM in Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907.
Arnold was born on July 2, 1939, in Grove Oak, Alabama to Dema Dunn and Fred Brown. He spent his life employed at Fieldcrest Mill where he retired from. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed traveling and attending church at Glenn Anthony Baptist Church. He adored his longtime companion/dog, Sweetie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Dema Brown and his sister, Laura Faye Wilson. He is survived by his daughter, Dana Laughlin (Burt); his son, Scott Brown; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
