

Funeral services for Mr. Sperti will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday March 11, 2013 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907 with burial to follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Alabama. Reverend David Johnston will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Sperti was born July 24, 1950 in Houston, Texas son of the late Thomas Fredick Mauling and Mecca Dollarhide Mauling, adopted parents, Ralph Sperti and Bert Sperti. Mr. Sperti worked for Yellow Freight Lines. He was a U.S. Army Airborne Ranger and served three tours in Vietnam receiving the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Sperti, his son, Christopher Lott and his wife Cricket, a daughter, Tammy Baggett, his brother, Thomas Fredrick Mauling II and his wife Renee, his sister, Marty Leatherberry and her husband Stuart, granddaughter, Kristina Lott, Grandsons, Damian Lott, Joshua Baggett, Justin Baggett and his great grandson, Gavin Cosper.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to The Wounded Warriors, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 in memory of Arthur Ralph Sperti.
