
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Raymond Bickerstaff and her father, Frank Jeter Bickerstaff, Jr. She is survived by her brothers, Frank Jeter Bickerstaff III and Robert Raymond Bickerstaff, , and her three children: Becky Ellen Falvello, Stephanie Mosely McDougald and her husband, Mark, and Thomas Hubert Mosely, III and his wife, Caroline; one granddaughter, six grandsons.
She spent her early years in Russell County, Alabama, and Columbus, Georgia. She traveled widely throughout her life, spending her young adulthood in Europe, Virginia, and California before returning to live in Columbus, Georgia.
In the 1990’s she operated a travel agency in the Buckhead region of Atlanta. She had a knack for real estate revitalization and restored a Great House in St. Croix in addition to building several farm properties in Georgia, both north and south of Atlanta.
She resided in Marietta, Georgia for the last twelve years of her life where she devoted her time to researching her family history and provided us with many informative pictorial histories of Alabama and Florida. Much of this information would have been lost if not for her effort to preserve it.
She was famous among her family and friends for her great cooking and exquisite decorating skills. She will be sorely missed.
Interment will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Broken Arrow Farm Cemetery in Russell County, Alabama. Flowers will be accepted at Striffler-Hamby, Columbus, or donations can be made to The Critter Place,@ 10396 Snowbird Ave., Weeki Wachee, Fla. 34614.
