I just wanted to let you know you’re always on my mind and forever in my heart. My baby has been sick the past couple days. We’ve been praying every night he gets better. Please lay your hand on his back tonight and allow him peaceful rest and to feel better in the morning. I sure wish I could call you and tell you about our week. You always had the best advice. You’ll be celebrating another heavenly birthday soon. I hope you know how much you are talked about in our home and how much I wish you were still here. Please continue to watch over us and keep us safe.

Happy Birthday!!! Another year around the sun and your 5th birthday in heaven. I imagine you are having a nice big lobster tail tonight with some of your friends and your momma. I know I haven’t stopped by in a while but you are always on my mind and talked of often in our home. Tripp is doing so well in school. He loves his teacher and has a lot of friends. It’s crazy how fast time goes by I can’t believe in 5 months he will be FOUR years old. I feel like I just brought him home from the hospital. I call Tripp my threenager he’s three going on thirteen. He is a whipper snapper that’s for sure. Always keeping me on my toes and constantly making everyone around him laugh. Ricky and I just celebrated 16 years being together this month. In 2 more months we will be opening the pool for spring. Keep an eye on mom as she is having some hard times right now. I know you’ll lift her up and guide her in the right direction tough times don’t last tough people do. Tripp is still loving his trains. If you ask him what he wants his birthday party this year theme to be he keeps saying trains again. I know you’d be smitten by him. I hope you know how much you are missed here on earth. I hope you have the best 70th birthday among the clouds.

It’s been awhile since I have stopped by. Time seems to be just going super fast lately. I’m saddened today knowing it’s been 4 years since you’ve been gone. Tripp is 3 years old already and started school 2 weeks ago. I can’t believe how big he is truly getting. He had his first soccer practice yesterday. I know you’d be over the moon about him. Tripp is still obsessed with trains. I like to believe that’s a little piece of you stuck in him. Rea had her baby girl Hadley in June. She is just the chunkiest little thing. Ricky is still at UPS and got his CDL licenses this year driving the UPS “big rig” as Tripp would say. I wish I could pick up the phone to call/ text you about all these special things in our life. I know you are no longer suffering anymore so that’s the only peace I have with you no longer being here. I hope you know that you are truly missed and talked about in my home very often!

I just wanted to stop by and wish my favorite person a Happy heavenly Birthday. I hope you know how much you are missed here earth side. I think of you all the time and know you’d love my baby. Tripp’s polar express Christmas party this year at daycare. 

We had thanksgiving here at the house with everyone including Ricky’s family. It was very nice for all of us to get together. 

Tripp was a trash man for Halloween. I made his costume. Everyone loved it! 

We had family photos done for Christmas! 

Polar express ride in Cumberland Maryland. This was a real steam diesel train. We got to read a book, drink hot chocolate and meet Santa!

It’s been a long 7 months since I have stopped by. I haven’t forgotten about you. I think of you daily and Tripp & I always talk about you. Tripp is 2 1/2 years old now. I feel like I just blinked and he’s already this big. He is so obsessed with trains it reminds me so much of you. I tell him all the time how proud you’d be of his love for trains. I know you’d tell him all about them. We went for a ride on the polar express this year ago. It was a real diesel steam engine. Ricky & I are doing fine like always. Tripp will be starting private school in the fall. I’m nervous about it but I know he will blossom more than he already has. Rea is having a baby girl is June named Hadley. Everyone is just growing up. Chance has a job now and is a really well mannered young man. Baby is as bad as ever but we all love her. Tripp will be THREE in July. I was just showing him stuff that we could do his party in. I’m not really sure who said he could grow up this fast. I wish I could send you videos/ pictures or we could FaceTime. I know you’d love him so much. I hope you know how much I miss you and wish you were here earth side. I literally do not go a day without thinking about you. I MISS YOU & our conversations. It’s been awhile since I’ve stopped by to give you a life update. Even though it’s been awhile doesn’t mean I don’t think of you daily. Tripp is growing and thriving. It’s amazing how big he’s getting and how smart he truly is. I cannot believe he will be TWO in one month. Time really does fly by when your having the time of your life with the best thing that’s ever happened to you. Ricky & I are doing good. We just opened the pool last month. Sunshine went missing for a couple weeks. I was worried sick about that cat. I got a notification the other week and she was out back by the pool with her FOUR all black baby kittens. Every time I see her outside I instantly think of you. Sunshine is a reminder even though you are in heaven you are still watching out for us from afar here earth side. I miss you so much! I really wish you could see my Tripp. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I’m not sure how I lived so long without him. I know you played a part in sending him to me. A day doesn’t go by that I don’t think of you. At our house you are talked of often. Thanks for watching over us and the nice beautiful day we’ve had today.

Happy new year! It’s already been a crazy start but you know that. Thank you for stopping by in my dream last night. I woke up this morning and you were the first thing on my mind. I know I know it’s been awhile since I checked in last. I feel like life has been in fast forward mode lately. Christmas is in 2 weeks and it doesn’t even feel like it. Ricky’s momma has been in the hospital for over a month now because of Covid. Please keep a eye on her and bring her home to us. This world sure is a crazy place to be living in right now. I think of you daily and so wish I could call you for one of those uplifting encouraging phone calls right about now. I’ve felt the world on my shoulders for some time now. I guess it’s all apart of life the trails and tribulations you just have to work through them and keep on pushing. My baby boy is getting so big. He is 17 months old today! Time is sure flying by with him. He is the most sweetest, loving, funny and spoiled boy I ever did meet. I can’t wait to see him Christmas Eve at mom’s house. The way he looks at things and just says “wow” when he’s excited brings joy and tears to my eyes. I can’t believe I get to experience motherhood. Him and I are best friends we don’t leave each other sides when we are together. He is and always will be my true life long best friend. I know you had a special part in picking him just for me. I needed him more then anyone will ever know! I love and miss you soooo much. It’s just not the same without you here. I’ve been feeding my sunshine here. That girl had a baby and brings her kitten to my back porch to eat. I love seeing them it reminds be every single time I see her and call for her of you. I hope you are resting easy up there in heaven.  You are free now and in no pain and not tied down from doing anything. I hope you know how much I miss you.

I hope my son grows to know one day how special Benjamin Brookins was to his momma. How much I loved you and how much I miss you. You are no longer suffering and that gives me peace. I just wanted to drop by and let you know I now have a ONE year old! It’s so crazy how fast time has flown by. I felt like the world stayed still on 7/10/2020 when Tripp was born at 4:09 pm. My universe got flipped upside down and my heart trippled in size within just the hear of one cry. I know I say it every time but I can’t believe I am his momma. Today was a perfect day for his party. We had so many people here to celebrate. I know you were shinning down when the sun peaked through the skies. I wish I could send you pictures or call you and tell you about our day. I sure hope you know how much I miss you!

It has been far to long since I have stopped by. Tripp is keeping me on my toes 24/7. He is growing so fast. I feel like I just had him and I blinked and here we are a couple 11 day's away from his FIRST Birthday. I still can't believe I get to experience a love like this. I look at him all the time and just can't believe I get to be his Momma. I hope you know I think about you daily and still pick up the phone wanting to call/ text you. I am sorry I never got a chance to call you back the last time you called me. We did a little cake smash photo shoot for Tripp at the beginning of the month for his ONE year birthday pictures. He is just the cutest little thing and kindest sole. He sleeps in bed with us and honestly I didn't think I would be one of those parents. I LOVE him rolling over to snuggle up next to me at night or me rolling over and just being able to wrap my arms around him. I've waited my whole life for him and I want to cherish every single moment. Everyone was not lying when they said cherish the moment's because they go quick! Baby is baby and she doesn't let Tripp touch her but she doesn't let him leave her sight any room that Tripp crawls to Baby is right behind. I have been seeing my Sunshine out back and boy is she getting big. It is nice to see her stop by or walk through the yard. I always have a constant reminder of you.

It’s been awhile since I stopped by. I don’t want you to think I forgot about you or something. I’ve just been busy raising this amazing 8 1/2 month old baby. Tripp it literally the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I ask god everyday what I did to deserve someone so amazing?! We have a appointment on 5/13 for a food challenge with the allergist for Tripp. Please watch over us at the appointment I’m already getting anxiety about the appointment and it’s a month away. Tripp is 18 lbs and 27 inches long. He’s lovinggggg blueberry muffins and yogurt at the moment. You should see him when baby walks by he gets soooo excited yet she pays him no mind. We have a appointment on Friday at the cardiologist for a check up. I can’t believe in just basically 3 months Tripp will be ONE. My sunshine hasn’t been around much the past couple days. Send her my way so I know she’s okay. I hope you know I think of you daily and miss phone calls. I still have every single text and voicemail you ever left me. I still can’t bring myself to listen to any of your voicemails.

Happy Birthday handsome! I wish Tripp & I could’ve called you today. Just one more “Hey, Kayla Bugs”?! How is it you’ve already celebrated 2 birthdays in heaven already? Yet it feels like just yesterday I got the call you were gone. Tripp is growing so much and keeps me on my toes that’s for sure. He has such a great personality and is such a happy baby. I tell him all the time he was picked extra special for us and is even cuter from being frozen. I wish you could’ve met him. My sunshine girl out back has been roaming the woods just like your girl did. Spring is on the horizon and we’ll be opening the pool in May. I can’t wait to see Tripp in it. He’s already such a water bug.

I wanted to stop by and let you know I’ve been thinking about you a lot the past couple days. I’ve been talking to Tripp a lot about you. We had some snow come through yesterday into today so Tripp & I had a snow day today. Ricky and I took him outside yesterday evening in the snow just for some pictures and for him to see his first snow fall. I don’t think he was really a fan of it. His little cheeks were so red just for the short 5 mins we were outside. I know I say it every month but I can’t believe he will be 7 months old next week. I’ve been giving him solids for the past couple weeks and all kinds of snacks. He’s just the sweetest and happiest baby I’ve ever seen. I tell him all the time I can’t believe I get to be his momma. Your birthday is coming up in a couple days. I wish I could call you and talk to you on the phone. Just one more “Hey Kayla bugs!”.

I just wanted to say thanks for having Sunshine spend the night. I’ve been so worried about that kitty being cold. She finally slept outside in the box I made. Tripp is 6 months old today. He’s a little under the weather. He’s been teething for the past couple weeks. We’re just waiting for this tooth to bust through. I just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you this morning when I woke up and saw Sunshine slept here for 6 hours last night.

I am sorry I didn’t stop by on Christmas or New Years. Tripp has been teething the past week and has been very cranky. I can’t believe it’s already 2021. This past year literally flew by. Some people might look back on this year as one of the worst years of their lives. I’ll always remember this year being the best year of my LIFE. The year I brought my baby boy I yearned for sooo long for. I still can’t believe I am a momma. Tripp is doing great and growing so so so fast. I can’t believe he will be 6 months old next Sunday. I’m questioning myself already where has the time gone? I have a very nice visitor that comes by every single night that is a black cat that looks just like sunshine! Ricky keeps telling me I can’t make a house for the cat to sleep in but I’m going to put a bin and some blankets outside. I send mom and Rea pictures of the cat every time it’s out back. I like to think it’s you just stopping by. I miss our conversations and just miss you!

I’ve been thinking about you a lot the past couple days. I’ve been talking to Tripp about you and how much of a southern gentlemen you were. He’s growing so big and sooooo fast. I can’t believe next week he will be 5 months old. It feels like we literally just walked into the door from the hospital. He just got over his first nasty cold from daycare. That was a really stressful week & a half. I’m sure your looking down on him all the time cracking up about him. He’s such a happy baby. I thank god everyday for blessing me with him. I don’t know how I lived life for 29 years without him. Christmas is right around the corner. Ricky is working 6 days a week but we make it a point for him see Tripp as much as possible. Even if Tripp and I have to stop and drop him off some snacks while he’s on the route. I have this all black cat that’s always outback of our house. She kinda reminds me of sunshine. Makes me feel like a piece of you is here checking in. I miss you granddad!

It’s been a little since I stopped by. Tripp is just a growing and such a sweet boy. I look at him and still can’t believe I am a momma. It’s such a surreal feeling. Ricky & I are soaking in every single moment with with. I can’t believe after all these years we finally have our sweet boy. It’s July so that means it’s baby month. I went to the doctors yesterday and found out Tripp is still breech. I am scheduled tentatively for a c-section on 07/17. I still have two more weeks in case he wants to flip but I don’t see it happening. Ricky said he’s already stubborn like his momma. It’s scary to have a exact date and time when it will happen. I really wanted a regular delivery but whatever it takes to get him here healthy I don’t care. Thanks for the little hello this afternoon. I miss you so much!

It’s been a little since I’ve stopped by. Your great grandson sure is giving me a run for my money. He’s already being so stubborn. I found out last week after a couple hours in the hospital to monitor him that he’s breech. I’m seeing a chiropractor 2x a week to try to get him to flip positions. I guess when and if he’s ready to move him will. Ricky and I are patiently anticipating his arrival. We’re almost finished with his nursery. Slowly but surely getting all the final pieces. Baby is loving all the new pieces of furniture we are getting. Of course she thinks everything is hers! We had our maternity shoot last week as well as our drive by baby shower. Not a lot of people showed up but the important ones did so that’s all that matters. We have plenty of stuff. You should see his closet! I wish I could send you pictures or call you with all these worries I’ve been having. I know you’d set me straight and tell me everything is gonna be just fine. I hope you know how much I love and miss you. I can’t believe it’s almost been a year since you’ve been gone. I lost a piece of my heart that day! You are and always will be with me I know it. Please continue to watch over Tripp and I over these last few weeks.

I just wanted to let you know I was thinking about you. I’ll be 31 weeks this Saturday. It’s crazy I only have 9 weeks left. This pregnancy has flown by so fast! I wish I could send you updates or pick up the phone to call you. I’ve been really exhausted lately and some swelling in my feet but that’s normal. Everything seems to be running smoothly. I ordered a piece for above Tripp’s crib with his name on it and it came it today. I know you’d be so tickled to get that picture. I hope you know how much I love and miss you!!!!!

I just wanted to let you know I’ve been thinking about you. The world is a crazy place right now. I just wanted to let you know that Ricky, baby & I are doing good and Tripp is just a growing. Ricky felt him kick for the first time tonight. It brought tears to both of our eyes. I wish I could call you. I hope you know how much I love and miss you! I left a pic of baby taking a nap with me today. She won’t leave my side anymore these days and loves being by her momma!

Just wanted to let you know I was thinking about you. I had my anatomy scan last week and they said Tripp is looking healthy and weighing in around 8oz right now. Still a lot more of growing he has to do. Wish I could pick up the phone to call you or send you my sonogram pictures of Tripp. I hope you know how much I love and miss you! My heart is truly broken knowing you are gone forever.....

It saddens me that now I have to write on a wall to tell you Happy Birthday. Last year I sent you 2 cards and called you first thing in the morning. How quickly times have changed! I hope you know how much I love and miss you. The baby is growing and we go for our anatomy scan on 2/28. Crazy to believe I am already 18 weeks. Happy Thanksgiving! The first of many holiday’s without you. I still can’t believe you are gone. Mom got me a sticker in your memory to put on my car. I just can’t bring myself to put it on.
