Bernice Irene Hagler

Bernice Irene Hagler, 84, of Columbus, Georgia, died on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road Columbus, at 2:00pm with Reverend Kenneth Hagler and Reverend Mike McBride officiating. The family will receive friends in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby on Wednesday August 31, 2016 from 6:00-8:00pm.

Mrs. Hagler, daughter of the late Andrew Loyd Hagler and Lula Estelle Moates Hagler, was born November 30, 1931 in Barbour County, Alabama.

She was a member at Trinity Temple Assembly of God, where she also taught Sunday School for over 28 years. Mrs. Hagler loved her cat “Oliver”, flowers, and reading.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Daniel Lamar Hagler and her sister, Elizabeth Hagler.

Mrs. Hagler is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Jones (Eric); son, Dennis Hagler (Caroline); grandchildren, Chasity Ellenburg, Taylor Chai, Caitlin Hagler; siblings, Frances Hagler, Charles Hagler, Janie Hagler (Winford), Judie Ellenburg (Mark), Peggy Simmons, Linda Oglesby (Dudley), Junior Hagler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
