Mrs. Bernice Mother J. Jones Kokoles

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 22, 2010 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA with Dr. LeBron Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kokoles was born September 19, 1920 in Hamilton, GA daughter of the late Paul T. Jones and Minnie Ethel Harris Jones. She was retired from The Ledger-Enquirer after many years of dedicated service in the Advertisement Department. Mrs. Kokoles enjoyed gardening, fishing and most of all her large family. We will miss her, but memories of her wisdom, kindness and smile will always be cherished in our hearts.

Mrs. Kokoles was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Kokoles. Survivor include her seven children, Leo Roche (Nancy) of New Ellenton, SC, Paul Roche (Sheila) of Birmingham, AL, Tommy Kokoles (Tammy) of Columbus, GA, Nick Kokoles of Ashville, NC, Mary Harkless of Canby, OR, Ellen Oakes of Columbus, GA and Peggy Sauberan of PA; eighteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends.
