Betty Brooks

Betty Joyce Brooks, 84, of Dacula, GA passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Mike Reeves officiating. The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 am at Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Rd Columbus, GA 31907.

Mrs. Brooks was born August 22, 1936 in Geneva, GA the daughter of the late Joseph and Jewell Brown. She graduated in 1954 from Marion Co High School. She was a crossing guard and office secretary for Waddell Elementary for twenty three years. Betty had a big heart and loved and cared for everyone. Her loving nature will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Perry Brooks; sisters, Margie “Joann” Tucker and Hilda Alexander. Survivors include two children, Perry “Al” Brooks Jr. (Tammy) of Columbus, GA and Mickey Brooks (Mike Chapman) of Dacula, GA; three grandchildren, Danna Price (Gregg) of Newnan, GA, Perry “Trey” Brooks III of Savannah, GA and Tyler Bass (Sarah) of Columbus, GA; three great grandchildren, David Price, Autumn Price and Beckett Bass. She leaves behind many other cherished family and friends.
