Beulah Mae Henderson, age 88, resident of Columbus, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. Graveside services are scheduled at Parkhill Cemetery on Saturday, July 7, 2018, 2 p.m. with Reverend Billy Henderson officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby, Columbus.
Mrs. Henderson, daughter of the late James Marvin Guilford and Lovie Bessie Carroll Guilford, was born June 30, 1930 in Samson, Alabama. She was retired from Columbus Regional Medical Center, where she faithfully worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for several years. Mrs. Henderson was a hard working Christian lady that was always happy and didn't meet a stranger. She loved to shop, especially with her daughter, and loved to eat out with her family. Mrs. Henderson was a lady that believed strongly in her family, always stayed strong for the family, overlooked mistakes by others, and believed that you don't ever give up-on anything. She also loved animals, particularly her dogs, and loved the color red.
Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Davison, a son, Lucky Henderson, and a sister, Lessie Mae Flowers. She is survived by eight children, Gene Henderson of Columbus, Polly Henderson of Columbus, Janie (Ray) Easler of Columbus, Ellen (Steven) Holder of Shiloh, Georgia, Mary Henderson of Columbus, Marjorie Henderson of Columbus, Joseph (Joyce) Henderson of Phenix City, Alabama, Billy (Cindy) Henderson of Smith Station, Alabama, and grandson, Gary Mills of Auburn, Alabama; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
