Billy Wayne Rhodes

Hamilton, GA- Billy Wayne Rhodes, 71 of Hamilton, GA went to be with the Lord Friday, August 22, 2014 with his family by his side in the care of Gentiva Hospice. Wayne was born July 1, 1943 in Glenwood, AL to the late JC Rhodes and his wife Wanda Helen Rhodes. He was the former co-owner of AAW Dump Truck Ltd., and a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God. Wayne had a passion for the Lord, and his family, and loved to ride his Harley with his wife.

Visitation will be Monday, August 25, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 pm in the St. Elmo room of Strifffler- Hamby on Macon Rd. A Celebration of Life will be at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Tuesday August 26, 2014 at 12:30 pm on Floyd Rd in Columbus, followed by a 2:00 pm Committal Service at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, Seale, AL, with Pastor Venerable, Pastor Corbin, and Rev. Holt officiating.

Mr. Rhodes is survived by his mother , Wanda King of Phenix City, AL, his loving wife of 38 years Charlene Rhodes of Hamilton, GA, a son; Ken Holland (Samantha) of Griffin, GA, three daughters; Tina Jurgensen (Jason) of Phenix City, AL, Shelly Neal (Alan) of Cataula, GA, and Marci Doran (Gary) of Columbus, GA, thirteen grandchildren; Lauren Hampton, Kenneth Holland, Emily Feltman, Jessica Monsrud, Justice Jurgensen, McKenzie Doran, Eban Holland, Jacob Jurgensen, Rylee Neal, Ashton Holland, Lily Grace Neal, Lailyn Holland, and Landon Hayes, and five great grandchildren; Bryson Feltman, Mason Feltman, Noah Hampton, Kailyn Monsrud, and Kinsley Monsrud, three brothers; Aubrey Rhodes, Raymond Rhodes, and John Rhodes, one sister Janice Holt, with many nieces and nephews, friends and church family.
