Blanche Hinson

Blanche Hinson, age 89, resident of Columbus, died on Monday, January 9, 2012 at her residence. Graveside services are scheduled at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, 3 p.m. with Chaplain James Cornet officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 6-8 p.m.

Mrs. Hinson, daughter of the late James Lewis Buchanan and Ida Estelle Hand Buchanan, was born August 28, 1922 in Rock Mills, AL. She was a Methodist by faith and member of Gallops Senior Center. Mrs. Hinson enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, and growing flowers.

She is survived by two daughters, JoAnn Brown and her husband Robert of Mauk, GA, and Judy Klugh and her husband Bobby of Columbus; one son, Jackie Studdard and his wife Jan of Phenix City, AL; one grandson, Jeff Studdard of Hampton, VA; one great-granddaughter, Stephanie Studdard of Canada; other relatives and friends.
