Bobby Wayne McIntosh

COLUMBUS, GA- Bobby Wayne McIntosh, "Pa", 76, Columbus, GA, passed away peacefully, Friday, January 13, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in Edgewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907. Reverend Donny McCoy will officiate. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends this evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Bobby was born May 16, 1940 in Dale County, AL, son of the late Dewey B. and Lonie Bell Barnes McIntosh. He was a supervisor with Swift Mills and retired after 33 ½ years of service. After retiring he continued working as a maintenance man for Thayer Properties and Greystone Properties.

When Bobby wasn't working, he loved to spend time with his family. He loved sitting on his front porch enjoying a cool summer breeze. He also loved fish fry's that were better known as a "Meetin and Eatin".

In addition to his parents, Mr. McIntosh was preceded in death by two sisters, June Jackson and Janice Bailey.

Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Joann McIntosh of Columbus, GA; his children, Rhonda Harrison Powell "His Little Girl" and her husband, Chuck, Ronald Harrison and his wife, Debbie, and Ricky Harrison; his grandchildren, Charles Bradley Powell, Amanda Whitney Harrison Browder, Misty Dawn Harrison, Lee Collins, Corie Collins, Sydney Adams, several great grandchildren; his sisters, Joyce Obgurn, Doris McKinnon and Elaine Money; his brother, Lennard McIntosh and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
