Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at Evangel Temple Church at 3pm on Sunday, January 16, with visitation from 2pm-3pm. Reverend Paul Thomas will be officiating.
Bonetia was born on December 2, 1944, in Lagrange, Georgia to the late Edgar Duffey and Mrs. Christine (Scott) Duffey Seay. She was a graduate of Jordan Vocational High School. Bonetia was an incredible beautician and was co-owner and operator of McCullar’s Beauty Salon for many years. She loved her family with all her heart and was a faithful wife, Mother, and Nana! She loved to cook for her family and had a passion for traveling. She was preceded in death by her loving mother and father George (Papa) Seay along with her Sister-in-Law and best friend Paulla Kaye Collier.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 50 years, Ronald Thomas Sr., her aunt, Kathryn Rhodes and Uncle Harold Scott (Linda). Her Children Thomas Duncan (Lyndee), April Gilbert (Jarrell), Ron Thomas (Kim), and Paul Thomas (Pam). Her Grandchildren Amanda Tucker (Ross), Clay Thomas (Olivia), Jared Thomas, Shawn Thomas, Laine Duncan, Jesse Gilbert, and Lewis Duncan, Her Great Grandchildren Benny and Owen Tucker. Other treasured family members Gwen Guest, Kip Pruitt (Charlotte), Bryson Pruitt, John O’Hern (Carla), Michael and Patrick O’Hern, and Connie O’Hern.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Columbus Hospice.
