Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Striffler-Hamby in Columbus, GA. The family will receive visitors at 2:00pm, and the funeral will be held at 3:00pm with interment services to follow at Parkhill Cemetery.
Ms. Ramsey was born April 4, 1932 in Meridian, MS, daughter of the late William Nathan Taylor and Effie Taylor. Bonnie dedicated her work career to the Human Resource Department at Field Crest Mills in Columbus, GA, where she retired. Ms. Ramsey enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her sisters, children, grand and great-grandchildren. She loved a good margarita and her favorite “special dinner” was Tex-Mexican. She loved to travel to Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi to visit her family. Ms. Ramsey was a member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church. She had a very big and caring heart and would do anything for anyone. She never met a stranger. She will be remembered as a loving but feisty, precious soul and one always joking.
Ms. Ramsey was preceded in death by her parents, Williams Nathan Taylor and Effie Taylor, and her sister, Essie Donald of Vidalia, Louisiana.
Survivors include her sisters, Joy McCulloch of Conroe, TX and Jerri Booth of Houston, TX; two children, her daughter, Sheila Ramsey Salter of Columbus, GA and her son, Cecil Joe Ramsey, II (Stacey) of Bradenton, FL; four grandchildren, Kim Salter, (Tommy) of Phenix City, AL, Chip Salter, (Crystal) of Smyrna, GA, Austin Ramsey of Blue Ridge, GA and Savannah Rader (Edward) of Ellijay, GA; six great-grandchildren, Jalen Salter (Anna) of Columbus, GA, Christian Bailey Long of Columbus, GA, Elizabeth and Isabella Salter of Smyrna, GA, Tanner Michael Ramsey of Blue Ridge, GA and Liam Keith Gardner of Ellijay, GA; in addition to many nieces and nephews and beloved family and friends.
