Bradford Neal Slaughter, Sr. 52, of Columbus, GA, passed away at his home May 11, 2019. Brad was born June 7, 1966 to Peggy Poe Slaughter and the late Robert Slaughter in Columbus. He was a graduate of Hardaway High School and owner of Slaughter Service Co. Brad loved his family (especially Brad Jr.), NASCAR, fishing and the beach. He enjoyed telling stories and laughing with his best friend Jimmy Daniels. Brad will always be remembered for his quick wit, his many friends and for how well he carried himself. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by: his mother, Peggy Slaughter; son, Bradford Slaughter, Jr.; brothers, Ricky Slaughter, Ty Preston and Gene Murphy; sisters, Robin Slaughter Ward and LeeAnn Murphy; uncles, aunts, cousins, other family members and many, many friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA 31907 with a Memorial Celebration of Brad’s Life starting at 2:00 pm, followed by burial at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Danny Courtney officiating.
