Brenda Darlene Wright, age 64, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Friday January 11, 2019. Brenda was born February 15, 1954 in Columbus, Georgia to Bessie Livingston Wright and Henry Wright. She was a 1972 graduate of Jordan High School and life-long resident of Columbus, and was employed for over 29 years as a secretary with AARP.
Brenda never married so she treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She would do for others before doing for herself. Brenda loved her family and taught them to put God first, take care of the people close to you and always smile, even when you don’t really want too. She loved going to the Beach and laughed all the time. Brenda will always be remembered for following the Golden Rule and putting Jesus first then others and then herself. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Brenda was preceded in death by; father Henry Wright and mother Bessie Livingston Wright; her sister Betty Davis and brother Richard Wright. She is survived by; her brother Billy Wright and sister Glenda Kingrey; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
A visitation for family and friends for Brenda will be held Tuesday, January15, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in The St Elmo Room at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907. A graveside service and entombment will be held in The Chapel of The Pines Mausoleum in Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907, Wednesday, January16, 2019 at 11:00 am, with Pastor Gerald Corbin officiating.
