

Carole graduated from Humes High School in Memphis, TN. She earned an Associates degree in Mental Health from Columbus State University in 1977, and later graduated from The University Of The South, School Of The Theology in 1999. She retired after 15 years as the Laboratory Manager at Piedmont Healthcare, formally known as the Medical Center.
A devoted people lover and lifelong dog lover, Carole delighted in laughter and cherished time with family and friends. She was the loving mother of five children, and a Vietnam and Korean war Army Officer's wife. She carried herself with quiet strength and steadfast devotion through seasons of service and sacrifice.
Carole’s care for others extended well beyond her home. An advocate for children and the disadvantaged, she supported many charities and organizations. A lifelong animal lover, she also supported wildlife and animal charities and was a founding member of Columbus Animal Shelter. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church for 32 years and participated in the Alter Guild.
Carole is survived by Deborah Hill, daughter; Stephen Hill, son; Robin Carroll, daughter; George Andrew Hill, son; Andrew Myers, grandson; Elizabeth Navatto, granddaughter; Joseph Navatto, Son-In-law; Violet, great-granddaughter; Sal, great-grandson; Benjamin Carroll, grandson; Caitlin Carroll, daughter in-law; Spencer Hill, grandson; Erika Hill, daughter-in-law; Lauren Baker and Riley Hill, great granddaughters; Sara Bowman, niece; Sara Barnett, great niece; Samantha Barnett, great grandniece; Joy Jolly, niece; and many other nieces.
Carole was preceded in death by her Father, Landers Jolly; Mother, Lottie Montague; brother, Armand Jolly; brother, Landers G. Jolly Jr. ;and Son, Keith Hill.
The family extends sincere thanks to her many friends and neighbors. Especially Angie, Carlos, and family, for their constant friendship, love, and care.
A Celebration of Life and Service of the Resurrection for Carole O. Hill will be held at 1:00 PM on October 3, 2026 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 2100 Hilton Ave., Columbus, Ga 31906.
