Carolyn Snider

Carolyn Snider, 78, of Fortson, GA passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Columbus Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2019 at Parkhill Cemetery with Pastor Randy Harris officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 3:00-5:00pm at Striffler-Hamby in Columbus, GA.

Ms. Snider was born March 10, 1941 in Columbus, GA, the daughter of the late James and Sarah Day. Carolyn would marry Mr. Rufus Snider on February 9, 1957, spending many cherished years together before his passing in 2010. She was a supervisor at Columbus Mills for many years prior to retiring. Some of her hobbies included gardening, sewing, and spending time at the beach. The thing she treasured the most though was spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rufus Snider; brother, Calvin Day; and grandson Randy Snider. Survivors include her five children, Susie Phillips, Jamie Snider (Terri), Tommy Snider (Ann), Patricia Folds (Phillip), and Betty Hannah (Robert); eight grandchildren, Nick, Brittney, Tiffany, Jeffery, Laci, Josh, Ryan, and Amy; one sister, Yvonne Popp (Warren); three brothers, David Day, Ralph Day, and Raymond Day; Carolyn also leaves behind a numerous amount of other extended family and friends.
