Cathy Grier, 67, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on January 16, 2026. She was born on October 9, 1958, in Columbus, Georgia to the late Catherine Smith Crocker and Coston Crocker. She was a Baker High School graduate.
Cathy married the love of her life, Scott Grier, in July of 1976. Together they made Columbus, Georgia home. She worked for many years in the medical field as a pharmacy technician.
Cathy enjoyed riding the motorcycle with Scott. She was a joy to be around, her humor and free spirit were infectious wherever she went. Best of all, Cathy truly enjoyed going to Panama City to soak up some sunshine on the beach. Cathy was Christian by faith and she loved her family dearly. Her loving, joyful, and sometimes bossy-when she needed to be personality, will be greatly missed by all who knew and especially loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Grier, her daughter, Lori Bowers, and her granddaughter, Hayley Bowers. Cathy was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Smith Crocker, her father, Coston Crocker, her brothers, Donnie Crocker, Jackie Crocker, and Billy Crocker, and her sister, Betty Hough.
Arrangements are under the care of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary of Columbus. No services are scheduled at this time.
