Charles Keith Croley went home to God, June 12th, 2021. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 6:00 til 8:00 pm at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus; Service will be Friday, June 18, 2021 at 11:00 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus; with interment at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.
Charles was born on July 26, 1951 in Hopkinsville Kentucky; the son of Bill and Joan Croley. Commonly known as Chuck, he served 20 years of total service with the United States Army National Guard and the United States Army from 1972- 1992. After he was honorably discharged, Chuck Keith Croley went on to work for Dana Eiland Construction Inc. as a framer. Chuck eventually pursued a career at Ft. Benning as a maintenance custodian with WHINSEC. His attentive work ethic expedited the institute’s new home, where his charisma filled its halls with positive energy. When Chuck wasn’t working diligently for WHINSEC, he could be found at Country’s Barbeque where he enjoyed his favorite food and shared his love and gift for live music. His love of music, sense of humor, and big heart will be sorely missed. He touched the lives of so many people and could often be heard saying “Hey Hey” as he entered a room.
Chuck is survived by his girlfriend, Yvonne, his brother Bill and his wife Debra, his sister Joyce, his son Chris and his wife Lakisha, his step-daughter Patty, his niece Lynn, her husband Shaun and their children Layla and Nic.
