Charles Philip Haskell, better known to his friends and family as Chuck, was a loving husband, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was a dedicated employee at Pratt & Whitney for 31 years and enjoyed time spent with his coworkers. He was a silent leader but good at what he did. Chuck was the President of the Muscogee Long Rifle Club. He loved shooting, building, and all the fellowship at the shooting range. He was an avid cyclist and loved collecting bikes. He loved to tinker around with old engines and was always on the lookout for another one to get running. He created a Facebook group, West Georgia Food Critics, to share some of his favorite places to eat and share the elaborate meals he prepared at home. He loved having others share on his Foodie Group, too. He taught himself to play the mandolin and other string instruments, which was no small task as he was left-handed. He loved going to church on Sunday and having fellowship, and especially loved the music and singing. Of all the things he loved and enjoyed in his life, his family was always his number one priority. He loved silent but he loved big, and he was so very proud of his family. He gave the best hugs and lingered a little longer to help show them how much he cared about them. He was devoted to and did the best job taking care of his parents until they went to heaven. He took every opportunity to tell anyone about his family and their accomplishments, hobbies, and day to day lives. He loved playing with and teasing his grandbabies, Lilah and Hazel and his great niece Mackenzie, especially during church. He loved Saturday morning rides with his sister and any other day the two of them could get together for a quick ride. He looked forward to any day that he could convince family into going and eating “noodles.” He was a devoted husband to his wife, Tami, for 30 years. He was extremely proud of his children and all the things they have accomplished in their lives. And above all, he loved the Lord.
