Charles Emory Kynard, age 81, of Columbus, GA passed away Saturday, December 02, 2023 at Columbus Hospice House. Born February 24, 1942 in Mobile, AL. He was the son of the late Emory and Grace Evelyn (Claxton) Kynard.

To know Charlie, was to have Charlie, as stubborn as he was, that little devil smile and twinkle in his eyes-always got him by.

Survivors include his son, Brian (Susan) Kynard Sr.; his granddaughter, Aja N. Kynard (Brandon) Bryant; his grandson, Brian (Alyssa) Kynard Jr.; his great-grandchildren, Brian III, Ellie-Grace, Beckett and Carden; his sister, Alice Robbins; his special buddy, Steve Hanks; along with one niece and two nephews. Charlie is also preceded in death by the love of his life, “The Bos” Colleen (Winowich) Kynard.

A Graveside Service will be held at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 11:30AM. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to your choice of charity or to Columbus Hospice House, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, GA 31909.
