Charlie was born on August 1, 1940 in Danville, Pennsylvania to the late Charles E. Linker, Sr. and Hilda Linker. He was a family man who worked hard to provide the best he had for his family. Charlie was married to Joyce L. “Gloria” Wright, they were married for 58 loving years. He was a manager at Leshner Textiles in Phenix City, Alabama for many years. Charlie was a people person he enjoyed being around people. He enjoyed making jokes and laughing with everyone. Charlie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joyce L. “Gloria” Linker; son William “Bill” Linker of West Point, Georgia; his brother, Frank Linker of Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Family will visit with friends on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia. A graveside service will follow in Parkhill Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
