Charles D. Ward

Funeral services will be Friday, March 4, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. Visitation prior to funeral will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Safe House at Rose Hill United Methodist Church.

Charles was born on November 17, 1935 to the late Leola Killingsworth Ward and Benjamin C. Ward. He was a Jordan Vocational High School graduate. Charles retired from Sunshine Biscuit Company. In his retirement years Charles enjoyed visiting with friends at Burger King and Golden Doughnut, and at the St. Francis Wellness Center. Special friends Dr. Rick Persons and his wife Wanda.

He is survived by his sister Doris Meacham Rowe; several nieces and nephews. Preceded by brothers Aubrey E. Ward and Earl C. Ward.
