Charlie F. Culpepper of Cataula, Ga, died on March 24, 2020. Services are pending at this time. Charlie was born on March 12, 1933, in Henry County, Alabama; the son of Jessie Eugene Culpepper and Annie Mae Dukes Culpepper.

Charlie joined the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean War. Charlie was honorably discharged and returned to Columbus. He met and married the love of his life, Anne Allen. He began his career as an Icee distributor, he enjoyed making his stops and making friends. He became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. His greatest joy was found in serving Jehovah for 47 years. His greatest love was his family and spending time with them.

Charlie is preceded in death by: his daughter Kim Culpepper a son Charlie Culpepper Jr. and a great grandson Ethan.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 67 years, Anne Culpepper; two children, Lynn Culpepper (Kenneth) Jeffries and Steve (Tracy) Culpepper, a daughter-in-law Brenda (Charlie Jr.) Bailey; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one great great grandson. Charlie will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

For thirty years or more, I have enjoyed the visits we had with Charlie and Anne. It was always joyful in their company. I will always remember him.

I enjoyed knowing Charlie over the last thirty years or more. I worked with Charlie in RBC in roofing. We became good friends. We also served together in The Cataula Congregation where we made many memories together. I loved Charlie and will miss him very much.
