Charlie T. Williams

A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2012 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907 with Reverend David Howle and Reverend Andy Merritt officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Williams was born June 25, 1948 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Albert Lewis and Mable Catherine Schultz Williams. He retired from Wachovia Bank in Hamilton, GA after many years of service. Mr. Williams was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, where he was served as a deacon and a member of the Adult Choir. He was also a member of the Kinchafoonee Hunting Club.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by an infant son, and his sister, Billie Ann Ward and her husband, Tracy.

Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Cathy Williams of Cataula, GA; two sons, Charlie T. Williams, II and his wife, Jennifer of Columbus, GA, and Mike Williams of Cataula, GA; two brothers, Raymond Williams and his wife, Pat of Seale, AL, and Albert Lewis Williams, Jr. and his wife, Sylvia of Smiths, AL; three sisters, Beverly Patterson of Moline, IL, Glenda Faye Tadley of Columbus, GA, Martha DuPriest and her husband, Reggie of Hamilton, GA; many nieces and nephews.
