Charlotte E. Carr

Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2015 at Main Post Cemetery, Ft. Benning, GA. with Reverend Will Cole officiating according to Striffler-Hamby, Columbus, Georgia.

Mrs. Carr, daughter of the late Karl Hoth and Hedwig Koinzer Hoth, was born January 1, 1924 in Dobristroh, Germany. She was a retired homemaker and was very involved in the Columbus community. Mrs. Carr was a member of the Benning Hills Baptist Church; Red Cross Volunteer; Meals on Wheels Volunteer; Order the Eastern Star, Nursing School volunteer in Cottbus, Germany; and Recipient of 1000 Points of Light Award by President George H.W. Bush for community volunteerism. She is survived by two daughters, Debra Carr Keith and her husband Don of Texas, and Pam McKean and her husband Tim of Martinez, Georgia; six grandchildren, Jessica Bedwell and her husband Ryan, Ben Odom and his wife Karyn, Alyse Taylor and her husband Randall, Gavin McKean, Rachel McKean, and Collin McKean; seven great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
