Christine Callaway Collins, 90, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on June 1, 2026. Born July 14, 1935, in Graceville, Florida, she lived a life marked by steady devotion, quiet strength, and a kindness that was felt most deeply by those who knew her best.
Christine was hard-working and faithful in her daily life, giving years of dedicated service at the Medical Center, where she worked as an administrative assistant clerk in the emergency room. In a place that demanded calm and consistency, she offered both—serving others with a dependable presence and a kind-hearted spirit.
She was married to the late Charles Lewis Collins, and her love for family remained a constant throughout her life. Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lewis Collins; her son, Mark Collins; her mother, Cora Lee Williford Callaway; her father, William "Billy" Madison Callaway; and twenty siblings. She is survived by her son, Gregory Collins. Mrs. Christine also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members to cherish her loving memory.
A devoted Christian by faith, Christine attended Calvary Free Will Baptist Church of Columbus for many years, finding comfort and purpose in a life anchored by belief and fellowship.
In the quieter moments, Christine’s gentle nature shone through in the simple joys she loved most—especially gardening and spending time in her yard with her roses, tending what she planted with patience and care.
