Christopher Alan Boyd, 55, of Columbus, Georgia passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. A visitation and celebration of life for family and friends will be held, January 16, 2024, from 6pm-8pm at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia.
Chris was born on January 16, 1968, in Jackson, Michigan, the son of Dennis John Boyd and Cheryl Handley Boyd. He along with his family moved to Columbus Georgia in 1977. A city he would call home. He was a graduate of Columbus High school and owned Rivertown Restorations.
Chris loved spending time with his family and friends celebrating every day. Chris and his fiancée Theresa Mullican had recently moved to Panama City, Florida to enjoy Gulf Coast living.
Survivors include his mother, Cheryl Handley Boyd; fiancée, Theresa Mullican; brother, David(Wendy) Boyd; son, Handley (Alyson) Boyd ; son, Huston (Kyle) Boyd; son, Hayden Boyd; grandson, Hudson Boyd; grandson, William Boyd; Nephew Cody (Mari) Boyd; niece, Korbyn (Lane) Thompson: great nephews, Bryson Boyd and Mills Thompson; great nieces Kali Ann, Kenleigh Page Boyd and Collier Mae Thompson; aunt, Michelle Barden; aunt, Judy Myer; And many beloved family members and friends.
Chris is preceded in death by his father Dennis John Boyd.
The family suggests any memorial contributions be sent to the Columbus Sports Council, the American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Society.
