

MSgt (Ret) Clarence “Ted” Heath, age 81, resident of Columbus, died on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus on Saturday, April 7, 2012, 10 a.m. with Father Gerard Schreck officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 6, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. Mr. Heath, son of the late Devere Heath and Emily Catherine Zeller Heath, was born July 28, 1930 in Toledo, OH. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force where he served honorably for 20 years. After retirement from the military he worked in civil service at Fort Benning for several years. Mr. Heath was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Heath Shoemaker. Mr. Heath is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nan Heath of Columbus; daughter, Nancy Elham of Columbus; two sons, Michael Heath of Pensacola, FL and Chris Heath of Gulf Breeze, FL; one brother, Robert R. Heath of Kentucky; three grandchildren, Wendy, Misty, and Jeremy; four great-grandchildren, Connor, Grace, Olivia, and Emily; other relatives and friends.
