CJ lived for the outdoors, where his passion for hunting duck, turkey, dove, and deer thrived. His loyal companions, his dogs Smoke and Lilac, and his fascination with reptiles brought him endless joy. Diagnosed with cancer at a young age and given little chance of reaching his 16th birthday, CJ defied the odds with fierce determination and the extraordinary care of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. His resilience gifted the world 20 more years of his infectious spirit.
CJ’s commitment to St. Jude never wavered. He participated in a life study that advanced research, undoubtedly saving countless children’s lives. Family, loyalty, and faith were the cornerstones of his life. Though unable to have children of his own, CJ poured his heart into being a devoted presence for his friends’ children, niece, and nephews, creating cherished memories with them.
Whether casting a line in fresh or saltwater, CJ found peace on the water, fishing alongside family and friends—or sometimes alone, simply to feel the thrill of a bite. His love for his family, friends, and the Lord was boundless, and his absence leaves a void that echoes his vibrant legacy. CJ is deeply missed, but his light continues to shine in the lives he touched.
CJ is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Doris Milner and Hope Aguilar.
Survived by his wife Kristen Aguilar, His Father and stepmother Ronald and Brenda Aguilar, His Mother and stepfather Nonie and Steve Milner, His Brothers and sisters Daniel and Kathy Hutchison, Aaron and Karen Aguilar, Ryan and Jennifer Porter, Alisha Milner, his grandparents Mario Aguilar, Roger and Rosemary Rose, and many aunts, uncles, nephews, and one niece.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Columbus, located at 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia, 31907, on October 18, 2025, starting at 2:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at the same venue in the Fisher Chapel, beginning at 3:00 pm.
In keeping with the wishes of CJ the family asks that in lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital so that he may continue to touch the lives of children and their families battling cancer.
