Dallas L. Greene

Funeral Services will be on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby located at 4071 Macon Road Columbus, GA 31907. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM. Afterwards burial will take place in adjacent Parkhill Cemetary.

Dallas was born on July 26, 1937 in Lousiville, Alabama to the late Mavis Olivia White Greene and James Edgar Greene. Dallas enjoyed playing sports in his youth, particularly baseball. In his later years he also enjoyed playing Softball in Recreation leagues in addition to coaching his childrens sports teams and supporting his grandchildren at sporting events. Dallas was an HVAC (Heating, Ventilation And Cooling) technician for Blue Cross & Blue Shield in addition to operating his own HVAC business. He was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. Dallas was married to the late Peggy A. Dodson Greene. He is preceded in death by his brother, James Rodney Greene.

Survivors include his daughters: Olivia Renee (Carlton) Wilkinson and Tracy Greene (Mike) Henderson; Son: Derrick LaRue Greene; Grandchildren: Megan Olivia (Andrew) Aspinwall, Rex Carlton Wilkinson III, Thomas Weston Henderson, Dallas Wade Henderson, Wellsley Blaine Henderson
