Daniel L. Blackwell December 24, 1986 - December 5, 2010 COLUMBUS, GA— Daniel L. Blackwell, 23 of Columbus, GA died Sunday December 5, 2010 in Russell County, AL. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA. with Pastor Buddy Lamb officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Blackwell was born December 24, 1986 in Columbus, GA son of Wilson David Blackwell and Marilyn Blackwell. He worked for Gil's Auto Sales and Gold Car Lending Company. He was a graduate of Shaw High School. He was a Boy Scout and loved playing baseball at Shaw High School and Northern Little League. Survivors include his father, Wilson David Blackwell of Columbus, GA, his mother, Marilyn Blackwell of Columbus, his sister, Melodie Blackwell and Jonathan Justice and two children, Autumn and Kailey, of Columbus, Shere and Jerry Justice,other relatives include, Carol, Gary Cook and Cheryl Cook Hugley, Gary Jr.,Delores and Keith Nobles, Joyce and Tina Blackwell, Gabriele and Cheryl Blackwell, Maria Duggins and her husband James, Gloria Melton, Ryan and Troy Melton, April Melton Nicholson, numerous cousins, his friends, Bob, Jimmy, Jeromey, Heather Jury, D.J. and Crystal McFall and special friends Kerri, Ashley and cousin, best friend, Joseph "Joey" Dennis.
