Daniel Edward Dees

Daniel Edward Dees, age 67, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022. He was born July 27, 1954 in Perry, Florida to Rosa Bell Snyder Dees and Ernest J Dees. Daniel served his country faithfully for 20 years, 6 months and 14 days in the United States Army. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ, his country and his family. Daniel Dees was a precious husband, father and PawPaw and will be greatly missed.

Daniel was preceded in death by his mother Rosa Bell Snyder Dees; his father Ernest J Dees and his father-in-law Bobby Ray Carroll. He is survived by his former wife Kelley Dianne Dees; daughter Candace Briana Dees Hickman and her husband Allen Hickman; son Calen Daniel Dees; son Daniel Dees II and his wife Becky Dees; daughter Melissa Dees Paschal and her husband Robbie Paschal; mother-in-law Shirley Edith Carroll; sister-in-law Allison Payton Carroll; brother Bobby Joe Snyder and his wife Elaine; sisters Barbara-Ann Meadows and her husband Tommy Meadows and Nelda Reena McDonald and her husband David McDonald; grandsons Brandon Samuel Hickman, Andrew Allen Hickman, and Caleb Dees; granddaughters Briana Nicole Hickman, Leslie Bailey, Morgan Ladd, Candice Paschal, and Kathlean Dees; five great grandchildren; one niece and one nephew.

A visitation for Mr. Daniel Dees will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907. Funeral services with full military honors will occur Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are United States Army Funeral Detail.
