Danny earned an associate’s degree from Chattahoochee Valley Community College, a step that reflected the steady commitment he brought to building his life and future.
For 12 years, Danny worked as a lead engineer at Hostess/Smuckers. He carried his responsibilities with care and professionalism, and he will be remembered as a beloved presence by those who knew him through his work and daily life.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Eva Mae and George W. King. He is survived by his brother, Allen King, and his children, Tyler King and Ashley King.
Danny found joy in seeing the world and savoring the simple gifts of a good day. He loved to travel, visiting places such as California, Nevada, National Parks, Colorado, New York, and Mississippi. He especially loved the beach, with Panama City Beach and Laguna Beach in California among his favorites. He also enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves. Above all, Danny held close what mattered most—his family, his friends, sunny days, and, most of all, his children.
A memorial service for Danny will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 11:00 - 2:00 PM in the Mill Room at Striffler Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road Columbus Georgia 31907.
