Daryl R. Maier

Daryl R. Maier, 76, of Columbus, GA. died Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at the Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA. 31907 with Reverend Paul Thomas and Reverend Bud Rupel officiating. Interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends this afternoon from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Maier was born in Hicksville, OH to the late Oscar Maier and Gladys Kisabeth Maier. He has lived in Columbus for the past 50 years and was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God. He was employed by Maxwell Brothers Furniture for 22 years and later retired from Litho-Krome with 15 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra A. Maier of Columbus, daughter, Rhonda Graziano of Columbus, granddaughter, Kristin Graziano of Columbus, brother, Melvin Maier, sisters, Leona Tirpak and husband Steve and Thelma Whitely and husband Ray all of Painesville, OH. and brother-in-law, Winford Hagler and wife Betty of Phenix City, AL.
